When it's time to set off on a trip and pack our suitcase, we always have doubts about choosing the right shoes. We don't want to exceed the weight of our suitcase, so we try to make sure that the shoes we take with us meet all the necessary requirements for spending hours and hours walking.
To choose a good pair of shoes you should think about the weather, the conditions of the ground and different variabless that will condition your choice. It is very important that you think about it carefully to prevent wounds, blisters or injuries to your feet from preventing you from enjoying the experience normally.
The first thing you should consider is whether the place you are going on holiday is a big city, a coastal or mountainous area, as this will logically determine your choice. For long walks in the city, for example, you should opt for shoes that are ergonomic and breathable.
Another important factor is the climate. Before packing your suitcase, it is advisable to check the weather forecast for the place you are traveling to. If your holiday destination is known for its high temperatures, you should take with you sandals that are cool, resistant and allow your feet to breathe. Any of our HEE, for example ;)
Another important factor is the size and weight of our luggage, depending on the means of transport we are going to use. If our space is limited, we will look for shoes that are light and easy to store so that they don't take up too much space.
Having said that, what should characteristics your travel shoes have?
✔ Comfortable: They should be shoes that allow you to have enough comfort during the whole trip, uncomfortable shoes can ruin your stay.
✔ Breathable: Something that many times we don't take into account but it is very important, if your shoes don't sweat enough, this will most likely cause bad odor. Also, it's always good to keep your shoes as breathable as possible.
✔ Durability: Nobody likes to be on holiday and have to buy emergency shoes, so make sure your shoes are sturdy and will last long enough.
Now that you're clear on all these points, we hope you won't find it too difficult to choose which shoes to pack when you go on holiday. We always recommend two pairs of shoes, as long as it's not too many days: one of them should obviously be HEE (or well, both of them!).
